Methodology: an NDVI raster using 2016 NAIP aerial photography and a Hillshade raster from 10-meter DEM showing areas of illumination during an equinox sunrise and sunset. A scenic index was calculated by finding areas with no or thin canopy and illuminaiton during an equinox sunrise and sunset.
